2012 Robot Games

The Western Canadian Robot Games are back for 2012!

You can look forward to many of the favourite events from previous years and we’ve added a new event this year – the off-roadbot challenge!

DATE: May 12th, 2012

TIME: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (approximately)

LOCATION: Aero Space Museum of Calgary

COMPETITORS COST: $40 CAD/person (or $30/person for WCRS members) + $10/additional person (no limit on team size). Children can participate for $10 each.

SPECTATOR COST: Daily Admission prices to the Aerospace Museum ($10 Adult, $7 Student / Senior, $25 Family, $5 Children 6+ & Children under 6 years get in for free)

PRIZES: For the Mini-Sumo, Full-Sized Sumo, Line-Followers (both Classic and High-Speed), and Mine-Sweeper – First Place: EZ-Robot Complete Kit, Second Place: EZ-B Bluetooth Robot Controller.  For the Off-Roadbot Challenge – First Place: a cash prize of undetermined value.  The top three placers in all events also are awarded ribbons (and bragging rights).

GUEST SPEAKER: Prof. Martin Jagersand, Robot arms and hands: how to build them, use them and how they will matter more in the future
